About The Author

Kate is a mixed-media artist and founded a design studio — KTD Creative in 2005. As principal of KTD, she has worked with more than 170 institutions. As creative director, Kate is responsible for the strategic direction of all marketing, branding, web design, print design and web development. Kate rolls up her sleeves and designs both interactive and print projects as well.

Kate has taught both graduate and undergraduate classes at University of Baltimore's School of Communications Design, American University and Towson University. In her free time she watches film, runs and creates multimedia art. Kate lives in Mount Rainier, MD.
